I wanted to study abroad in Taiwan because in my home country, I was already studying Chinese for a long period of time and my Chinese teachers recommended that Taiwan would be a great place for me to go. I always knew that studying abroad is the best method to learning a language and culture quickly and effectively. After getting a scholarship from the Taiwan government to learn Chinese, I was super enthusiastic to come and start my international journey.
I chose to study at Tamkang University because out of all the schools I was considering applying to, TKU’s Department of Diplomacy and International Relations was the most impressive and had classes all in English. Not only have I been able to make friends with my classmates who are motivated and goal oriented like me, but I consider the professors in my department to be the best of the best. They are all professionals with extensive experience in their field, and they are so approachable and truly care about their students. They really make sure that the students that put in effort have opportunities to succeed. As an added bonus, the Tamkang campus is gorgeous as well.
