The curriculum framework of the IBSU undergraduate program is classified into two parts, namely, core curricula and six course groups: International Business and Marketing Course Group, Economics and Trade Course Group, Financial Management Course Group, Law Course Group, Quantitative and Information Methodology Course Group, and Foreign Language Course Group.

The curriculum framework of theExecutive Masters program is classified into two parts, namely, core curricula and two course groups: International Business Course Group and Trade & Finance Course Group. IBSU has placed a high regard on the cultivation and training of foreign language skills, thus providing students with the opportunity to acquire basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in other languages. Students are also provided opportunities to practice what they learn, thereby expanding their horizons beyond the national borders.
In realization of the department’s objective to enhance the foreign language proficiency of students, starting in year 2008, IBSU has made it a graduation requirement for students taking the undergraduate and Masters programs at the IBSU to pass at the high intermediate level of the Initial Examination of the General English Proficiency Tests, achieve a 650 point TOEIC score, a 500 point score on the old TOEFL test, get 173 points on the online TOEFL test, get 61 points on the new TOEFL test, or a 5.0 point score on the IELTS. Undergraduate students have the additional option of taking the Soochow University English Proficiency Test.
