The Interdisciplinary Program of Education (IPE) was approved for establishment in 2017 by the Ministry of Education and started to recruit students in 2018. There are two programs for IPE students: the ‘Interdisciplinary Program’ and the ‘Education for Sustainable Development Program.’ The Interdisciplinary Program aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents for learning sciences and technologies. The curriculum focuses on developing students with the competencies for research of learning sciences, computational thinking, and interdisciplinary learning. The Education for Sustainable Development Program aims to nurture cross-discipline talents in the field of education in sustainable development. By cooperating with other departments, more doors are opened for students to hone in abilities in multi-teaching. It is a cradle that nurtures future environmental workers, researchers, and educators who will proceed to commit to researching and solving problems pertinent to humanity and sustainability.
