The PhD program was established in 2008 as a joint effort of the departments of materials science and engineering and chemical engineering, and was extended to more fields of engineering in 2014. Twenty-one faculty members with expertise in various fields have joint this program to supervise students in the research of materials science of materials science, chemical engineering, energy mechanical engineering, environmental science, civil engineering electrical engineering, electronic engineering, electro-optical engineering, etc. Ongoing collaboration with public or private institutes provides a solid training for our graduates for their future career development.
