History & Educational Objective
This program has been established since fall 2014 and it leads to a Bachelor of Science degree. This program aims to establish a fire science training center with close collaboration in all related industries. Fire prevention, fire protection engineering, security and disaster prevention are the specialties of this program.

Curriculum
The coursework emphasizes on the state-of-the-art knowledge that is related to fire protection. This program offers quality courses in the areas such as fire science, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and chemical engineering. Courses and trainings will provide students with advance knowledge as well as gateways to further education and career opportunities.

Faculty
Our professional faculties currently include 2 associate professors and 2 assistant professors and are expected to expand in the next few years.

Facilities
A comprehensive system of laboratories will be set up in the coming years including a fire virtual laboratory, a hypoxic environmental laboratory, a fire forensic laboratory, a fire engine canopy, and fire safety laboratories.

Career Prospects
The field of fire safety offers a wide variety of career opportunities. Graduates can choose to work as Emergency Medical Technicians, Ambulance Technicians, firefighting managers, disaster prevention managers, professional engineering graphics engineers, technicians for industrial piping, fire equipment technicians, police and fire officers, occupational health specialists. The curriculum also stresses students’ foreign language proficiency and information technology in order to fully prepare the graduates for the job market.
