Educational Goal: Twenty-First century is the Era of New Economic in both globalization and localization points of view. Various kinds of creative activities in relation to performing arts have added great values in many developed countries. These activities not only provide people with good qualities of aesthetic and cultural life, but also enhance their confidence to a nation. Over the years, our government has endeavored to make Taiwan a country of cultures and economic abilities. However, with limited resources, performing arts activities become indispensable to shine at an international stage for a nation. Another related area is Style Design. Both industries have been considered into the educational and economic policies in the development of our nation. It is with this deep understanding that the Department of Performing Arts in Tungnan University started. Our goal is to discover students talented in music, dance, drama, and styling and design, discipline and educate them into professionals with great imaginations and exceptional competence.
