The Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language cohort of the International Intercollegiate Master Program, NTHU, cultivates teachers who possess foreign language teaching and international cultural exchange talents, and attaches great importance to international exchanges and the cultivation of cross-cultural international mobility. The program seeks to recruit students from Taiwan and abroad. At present, in addition to local students in Taiwan, about half of the program consists of students from more than a dozen countries and regions in the world, including the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Israel, Japan, Myanmar, Hong Kong and mainland China. In addition, it allows local and international students to develop close relationships and expand their worldview. The school works in conjunction with the Chinese Language Center and the International Baccalaureate Class, and actively arranges opportunities for internships or exchanges overseas in order to improve students' international mobility. In addition, the program boasts flexible course selection; In addition to Chinese teaching courses, students are encouraged to take courses offered by different colleges spanning a wide range of fields to develop the Chinese teaching profession, such as business Chinese, technical Chinese, etc., increasing the students’ competitiveness.
