Program Requirements

This list is applicable to the students entering 2015 academic year.

Students must complete a minimum of 130 credits for graduation, including 107 required credits and a minimum of 23 elective credits. In order to earn a bachelor degree, students are required to meet the following elective-course requirements and pass all the courses.
Special rules regarding Elective Courses:
(1) Elective courses should include 8 credits from Medical laboratory concentration area as well as 8 credits from Science Biotechnology concentration area.
(2) Students should take one 2-credit course from “Medical Laboratory Science
Seminar”, ”Biomedicine Seminar” and ”Biotechnology Seminar” .
(3) If students do not take “Research in Laboratory Science”, they must take one from “Special Topics in Medical Laboratory” or ”Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Laboratory”.
(4) Students must take one course from the following five: “New Trends in Clinical Hematology and Blood Banking”、”New Trends in Clinical Microscopy and Clinical Pathology”、”New Trends in Clinical Chemistry”、”New Trends in Clinical Bacteriology and Virology” and ”New Trends in Clinical Laboratory Immunology”.
Military training course for freshman students and Physical Education for the first year and the second year students are required courses for zero credit. Students must pass these courses for graduation.
Students must take a minimum of 28 credits of general education required by the university for graduation.
