  • TOCFL Certificate Officially Recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam


The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of Vietnam announced on March 16 the guidelines for implementation of the national standardized high school exam and the conditions for the consideration of high school graduation in 2018.

For the exam in foreign languages, this year's rules remain the same as those of the last two years. Candidates may choose one of the following foreign languages: English, Russian, French, Mandarin Chinese, German or Japanese. Candidates who have studied a foreign language in high school may choose one of the foreign languages in the national standardized high school exam. Students at continuing education centers may register for the exam in foreign languages and apply for admission to college or university with the results of the test.

During the process of review for high school graduation, candidates who satisfy any of the two following conditions may be exempt from the exam in foreign languages: First, candidates who have attended International Olympic competitions in foreign languages as members of national teams may be deemed exempt from the exam in foreign languages by the approval of the minister of the MOET. Second, candidates who possess one of the following certificates with validity before June 23, 2018. Certificates of Foreign Languages are as follows:

International certificates recognized by the MOET of Vietnam
