To amplify the global visibility of Taiwan's higher education, the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) launched the inaugural International Student Ambassador campaign, "Study in Taiwan- Meet your Friends, Love your Life," on November 25 in Taipei. This campaign features 60 student ambassadors from 21 countries, each offering unique insights into the enriching experience of studying in Taiwan.

The campaign highlights stories from individuals like Ukrainian model and ANTM regional winner Alina Paniuta, and Gambian YouTubers and hosts of Taiwan Quest, Hei Long and Jia Ming. The latter also works in Taiwan as a mechanical engineer and a civil engineer, respectively. Their journey in Taiwan, characterized by top-tier education, abundant career opportunities, and a diverse cultural landscape, underscores Taiwan's appeal as a global education destination.

Dr. Kaohsien Liao, the Deputy Director General of the Department of International and Cross-strait Education at the Ministry of Education, emphasized the government's commitment to international education. The Study in Taiwan website, overseen by FICHET, is a key information source for prospective international students, drawing over 1 million visits annually. FICHET also produces and publishes numerous interviews of international students about their lives in Taiwan.

Dr. Yun-Hua Yang, FICHET's Executive Director, reiterated the significance of these ambassadors in enhancing Taiwan's educational brand on the global stage. The ambassadors are from all over the world and influential in their communities. By sharing their Taiwan stories on social media, FICHET is aiming to reach out to the broader international community to attract more international talents to study in Taiwan.

Student ambassadors also share their enriching experiences in learning Chinese and learning about Taiwan's rich culture and history. These stories are a testament to Taiwan's educational excellence and cultural richness.
