1. National Central University (hereinafter the University), in an effort to promote international academic research and to enhance international competitiveness, has formulated this guideline.
2. Sources of scholarship are as follows: the University endowment fund, subsidy from Taiwan Government and donations from legal foundations, enterprise, and privates, etc.
3. Eligibility for Application:
New students: Students who are accepted for admission by the department.
Current students:
Undergraduate students- The cumulative average grade of all semesters while studying in NCU must be higher than or equal to 60.
Graduate students- The cumulative average grade of all semesters while studying in NCU must be higher than or equal to 70.
Applicants must pass at least one Chinese course provided by NCU Language Center or with a Chinese communication skill certificate. (Students who enroll in fall semester do not need this certification while they apply the scholarship for the second semester of their first academic year).
4. Scholarship Award:
Only tuition and credit waiver
The maximum amount of the monthly stipend for Ph.D. students is NTD51,000; maximum for Master students NTD15,000 and maximum for undergraduate students NTD9,000.
Scholarship recipients of Master’s and Ph.D. programs will be considered for waivers of tuition and credit fees. If students leave school more than 15days during summer/winter vacation, the scholarship will only be issued under the approval of the advisor or department’s chairman.
