History
The institute was established in August 2001, providing opportunities for extension study to personnel who are interested in engaging in technological and vocational education as well as related fields, in order to train high-quality personnel in technological and vocational education.
Educational Objectives
The targets of the programs are to prepare students for being professional practitioners and researchers in TVE curriculum and instruction, TVE administration, and HRD & TVE. Hence, our institute emphasizes in both teaching and research to link theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
Faculty and Instructional Facilities
Seven full-time faculty members are employed by the Graduate Institute of Technological and vocational Education to teach, provide program leadership, and conduct research as well as industry-university collaborative projects. All of us hold PhD degrees in the relevant fields of TVE. Our faculty is committed to teaching and easily accessible to students. Students will appreciate the mentoring and personal attention.
The main existing facilities include micro-instruction laboratory, multimedia productions laboratory, occupational and organizational psychology laboratory, human resources development laboratories, minority personnel enhancement laboratory, knowledge management and digital learning laboratory, video conferencing room, library, and other important facilities.
Thus, the Institute emphasizes instruction and research, focusing on the combination of theory and practice, in order to cultivate professionalism and researchers in technological and vocational education and human resources training.
