1. A minimum of 28 credits must be completed, in addition to a 6-credit thesis.

2. Mandatory Courses:

“An Introduction to Science, Technology and Society”: 3 credits
“Methodology and Practice of Science, Technology and Society”: 3 credits
“Seminar on Science, Technology and Society I” and “Seminar on Science, Technology and Society II”: 3 credits in total.

Students are expected to complete the courses listed above during the first year of study. If this requirement is not met, students should seek and obtain approval of the Institute Faculty Meeting.

“Research Ethics”: 0 credit, applicable to students enrolled after the academic year 2014/15.

3. Elective Courses: Available courses are in the Graduate Courses Catalogue.

4. A maximum of 8 graduate-level transfer credits completed prior to the date of enrolment may be recognized subject to the approval of the Institute Faculty Meeting, as long as these credits have not yet been counted toward the completion of the student’s undergraduate degree.

5. A maximum of 6 credits completed outside the Institute (within or outside the University) may be recognized subject to the approval of the thesis supervisor and the Institute Faculty Meeting.
