The Department of Microbiology at NTU Medical School has, since its origin in 1947, been exceptionally active and well-organized in education and in research. NTU hospital, which is situated next to the medical school, allows the Department of Microbiology to invite numerous researchers associated with clinical medicine to collaborate in academic investigation and share scientific resources. The multidisciplinary environment encourages students to actively acquire knowledge in Microbiology and its relat ed fields. Despite variations in students' training in this field, we provide a strong platform of various Microbiology courses, such as Microbes and Diseases, Advanced Microbiology, Molecular Biology, etc. Furthermore, labs in our department offer opportunities to understand particular aspects of bacteria, viruses, cancer, immunology, and gene therapy by utilizing logical thinking and advanced scientific techniques – invaluable skills for future research scientists.

DIVISION INTRODUCTION

We provide the platform of the various microbiology courses, such as Microbes & Diseases, Advanced Microbiology, Molecular Biology, etc. In addition, many labs in our department offer opportunities to understand a particular aspect of bacteria, virus, fungi, cancer, immunology, gene therapy by utilizing logic thinking and advanced scientific techniques, and these skills will be tremendously valuable for students to pursure goal of becoming an excellent research scientist..
