INTRODUCTION

The department of recreation and sport management is “sporty” department which has various sport facilities and teaching modules. This department was established in 2007. The high Quality faculties are come from sport or leisure backgrounds. Theoretical and practical Knowledge were designed and embodied in the course frame. Students who graduate from this department were excepting have sufficient theoretical knowledge and technical skill in the competitive sport/recreation industry.

The department locates at the 5th floor of the Management Building. Multi-practical orintedclassrooms include fitness center (cardiovascular area, cross-training machine area, Free-weight area, stretch area and fitness evaluation area),spinning classroom, TRX classroom, sports virtual game classroom,aerobics classroom (capacity of 80 people),martial arts classroom,multi-functional stadium (2 basketball or 2 volleyball fields or 7 badminton courts ),tennis courts,volleyball courts,archery fields,softball fields,handball courts, offering various learning environment.

There are also equipped mountain bikes, diving,kayak,canoe,sailing boat,and river tracing for outdoor recreational activities. We has also recognized as the Scuba Schools International Certification Center. This achievement gives many opportunities to students for their carrier developing. 系所簡介
本系於民國96年由休閒事業管理系獨立分出，新設「休閒運動管理系」，成立之初每年招收日間部一班學生，以運動績優獨立招生方式招收優秀之運動選手。隨著國際體育運動之蓬勃發展與國內休閒運動產業之擴增，休閒、遊憩與運動管理領域已成為熱門領域，人力的需求以及專業性要求已呈倍數成長，隨著此產業之脈動， 98學年度更名為「休閒遊憩與運動管理系」，讓學生除了在原有的運動相關產業外，更提升休閒遊憩的專業能力。

在強調「培育具有宏觀視野之休閒遊憩與運動管理專業人才」的教育宗旨下，同時為因應國際化潮流下，採多元發展模式，發揮教學、訓練、研究、推廣及服務等功能主以三大特色領域「體適能指導與管理」、「休閒遊憩規劃與指導」、「場館規劃與管理」等定位專業課程，並依據專業課程規劃，冀望積極達成培養五項運動專業人才之目標，包括：

（1）培養戶外休閒遊憩規劃與管理人才

（2）培養職業運動、休閒運動與運動俱樂部之經營管理人才

（3）培養運動場館規劃設計與管理之人才

（4）培養運動訓練與健康指導之人才

（5）培養運動產業行銷企畫人才

休閒遊憩與運動管理系位於行政大樓4樓，專業教室位於行政大樓，設施包括有媲美業界的體適能教室、飛輪教室、有氧舞蹈教室、技擊教室、TRX教室、運動虛擬遊戲教室、多功能體育館、自行車實習教室、水域教育中心（潛水、獨木舟、風帆）、室內潛水池、游泳池、攀岩場、戶外遊憩訓練長、運動設施檢測資源教室（水平儀、阻力測試儀）等。另於北校區建置網球場、排球場、射箭場、壘球場、沙灘排球場、籃球場與永續校園水資源利用系統，同時設置SSI國際潛水學校認證中心。
