The Department cultivates biotechnology experts, who possess humane character, as well as the ability for research and application. The department emphasizes the learning of theories and techniques in basic life sciences, besides enhancing professional cognition and reachability. To keep pace with rapid research development in biotechnology, biomedicine, and bioresources, it organizes two tracks of study for undergraduate programs: the medicine and its application track; and the plants and micro-organisms track. Master's Programs offer graduate students three tracks of study: biomedicine, environmental microorganisms, and botany. By cooperating with medical centres to share common resources, the Department provides multidimensional learning circumstances and encourages students in research and biotechnological development.
