The School was founded in 1994. To enrich the development of medical sciences, it has been expanded to include 25 sections, five institutes for master's Programs, and one for a Doctoral Programs.
The school created, for the first time in the world, a Tzu Chi Humanities course in which the great love of silent mentors (body donors) is introduced. In teaching, the school fully respects students and organizes systemic and multidisciplinary basic and clinical courses. These can hopefully train the student to gain professional knowledge and technology that are accompanied by the humanitarian spirit, and then finally become good medical doctors.
Post graduate studies blend courses of basic and applied sciences for training students to think discriminatively, have good organizational skills, to possess logical minds and artistic expression. These courses also help students to achieve the capacity for research and innovation.
