The master and Ph.D. programs of IBMS were established in 2001 and 2006, respectively. The current study in IBMS focuses on the field of cancer research which is the most important health threat in the world. Pooling of resources in this field can facilitate the development of both medical and biomedical schools in NCHU. In future, our institute will also combine the advantages of animal and plant biotechnology study in NCHU to develop distinctive medical biotechnology in cancer research.
