The department is the largest research center of philosophy in Taiwan. Many of the faculty members received their Ph.D degrees from internationally renowned universities (including Yale University, Oxford University, and the Catholic University of Leuven, etc.). Faculty members are specialized in various fields including Chinese philosophy, Indian philosophy, Buddhism, Continental philosophy, and contemporary Anglo-American philosophy. In particular, the department is a leading hub for Chinese philosophy research. We have a diverse body of international students, ranging from Asia, America and Europe. The Department top aimes for international reputation both in teaching and research.
