The areas of research are multidisciplinary, involving most steps in drug development for various diseases. Programs in new drug development focus on the synthesis and/or purification of chemicals either from nature or design. The pharmaceutical technology programs emphasize drug delivery, and pharmacokinetic/dynamics. The biological medicine programs study drug screening and molecular mechanisms of diseases.
