The Department of Bio-Industrial Mechatronics Engineering (BIME) is a multi-disciplinary engineering department actively involved in developing bio-mechatronics technologies and applications. The scope of our research and educational efforts includes: bio-industrial machinery, automation, bio-engineering, bio-sensing, non-destructive testing, bio-signal processing, intelligent control, Nano-BioMEMS, biomaterials, bio-informatics, bio-process engineering, etc. The goal of the Department is to develop new technology as well as to educate highly trained personnel in order to keep abreast with the global trend of industrialization and automation in bio-industry.
