Graduate study in the Department of Environmental engineering and science at Feng Chia University leads to the Master of Science Degree (MS). The Department provides a comprehensive program in course work and research training to prepare prospective environmental engineers for careers in academia, government, and industry. Research in the department spans an array of topics ranging from the analysis of chemical pollutants to the level of pollution control technology. Specific research areas include: wastewater management, air pollution control, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste management, toxic chemicals management, solid waste disposal, public health, environmental toxicology, ecosystem management and risk assessment. We offer students a comprehensive program of course work and research opportunities that reflects the multidisciplinary nature of environmental engineering. Students benefit from a well-coordinated program and also able to draw upon the resources of other departments within Feng Chia University. A major goal of our faculty is to provide our students with the best possible training towards an independent career in environmental engineering. The faculty work to serve as mentorsand expect it at all levels of instruction.
