In August 1996, Extension Division of In-service Education of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and High School Teacher Research and Study Center were combined and reorganized into Extension Division for In-service and Continuing Education (EDICE). In February 13, 2008, EDICE was restructured into School of Continuing Education (SCE).
SCE is established for several purposes cooperating with government's education policy, meeting the need of social development, improving the quality of education personnel, and contributing to the society by offering teaching and research resources.
