Our department located in Taiwan's horticultural industry center, has a unique geographical advantage, in the field of teaching and research is in line with the overall needs of the industry, but also plays a role of the western plains industry pioneer. The teaching objectives focus on crop breeding, economic crop cultivation, horticultural products postharvest processing, biotechnology, landscape architecture and other professional personnel training to meet the agricultural development and social needs. Our department is further interested in developing a subtropical horticultural research and development center, while strengthening international academic exchanges to enhance the level of teaching research.
Horticultural science includes pomology, olericulture, floriculture, garden landscape, horticultural product processing as the professional core. Basic science includes botany, genetics, horticultural crop breeding, statistics, biochemistry and other related courses.
