The Department of Mathematics was established in 1969. After twenty years more, in 1992 Master Degree Program in mathematics was founded, and an additional program, Mathematical Decision Science and Big Data Analysis, was set up in 2014.
The Department is located in Taipei Shihlin Waishuanghsi campus, adjacent to the National Palace Museum and Shilin Official Residence which have rich natural and cultural landscape. It is absolutely a nice campus for studying. In addition to fundamental mathematics core courses, we deliver applied courses such as partial differential equations, advanced statistics, finance, computing mathematics and information science. With good teaching facility and experienced faculty, we focus on training fundamental mathematics and take into account the application of practical curriculum. We expect that our students have solid mathematics skill as well as interdisciplinary knowledge and could adapt to the diversity of future.
The Department of Mathematics has excellent reputation in teaching. The Alumni from all walks of life have achieved outstanding success and shared enthusiastic feedback (donations, joining activities).
