Department of Electrical Engineering, founded in 1967, was a part of Kaohsiung Insititute of Technology. It started 4-year college program in 1997, master program in 2001, and doctoral program 2003. Since 2018, due to the combination of National Universty of Applied Sciences, National Kaohsiung First Universty of Sciences and Technology, and National Kaohsiung Marine University, it is now being part of the National Kaohsiung University of Sciences and Technology, and starts Graduate Program in Intelligent Automation System.
