Our department is the only one established for the development of the fishery industry in this country. It has been 75 years since its establishment in 1946, with plenty of experience in education, it is committed to train students to develop practical skills in fishery. To be in line with the international trend and the development of fishery in our country, the objectives of our department has been transformed from the original, "cultivating frontline fishing cadres for fishery resources development" to "cultivating talents on fishery production technology, utilization and conservation of marine biological resources and industry management". The career development of our students divided into four major fields: "fishery cadres and crew members", "fishery management personnel", "fishery science and technology researchers" and "fishery administrative personnel". The objectives of each academic system are listed as below:
● Junior Vocational College: Cultivate professional talents in fishery professional technology, marine fishery affairs and aquatic products trading.● Undergraduate: Cultivate fishery professionals with knowledge and ability of sustainable resource utilization and industrial management with an international perspective.● Research Institute: Focus on the training of development research and innovation capabilities, to cultivate professionals in fishery production technology research, biological research, resource conservation, production management and recreational fishery management.
