Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering was established in 1963 when the university was founded. At present, the department offers a Bachelor’s degree, Master's degree, and Ph.D. degree programs. With over 10,000 alumni in Taiwan and overseas, the department has earned a very good reputation in both the academic and the industry.
The teaching performance and research achievements are outstanding. This department has been ranked among the top performance of all departments in the university in recent years.
All the academic programs have passed the accreditation of engineering education programs of Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET).
