本系朝課程系統化、教學專業化、教學設施普及化，並開拓教育資源，透過社會團體、企業機關、觀光遊憩中心、健身俱樂部提供實習之場地、資訊、物力，並簽訂建教合作達到設系目標。本系亦將規劃成立學術研究小組，積極開發與本系相關之學術研究計劃案，並與大台北地區之醫療院所及學術研究機構交流合作，以吸收專精提昇學術研究水準。 行動不便、機能障礙、患有隱性病（如癲癇等）及患有法定傳染病者，宜審慎考慮，以免影響將來學習及就業。
DTLH is based on the development features of academic profession and social demands. It operates in coordination with our school’s mid-and-long-term development objective. With the combination of practical teaching and its relative industries, DSHL is intended to build up a wonderful vision and operating mechanism.
 DSHL provides a systematic course structure with the combination of both practice and research.
1. In order to upgrade leisure-sports-and-health professionals, DSHL provides a thorough program for sports-health counselors, sports-health managers, tour guides and leisure industry proprietors and managers.
2. By combining professional education program, sports certificate system, we give students intense counseling and guidance to get leisure sports or tour guide certificates.
