The Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology was established in 2011 with the purpose of fostering interdisciplinary research and education with a focus on the applied sciences. We are currently offering a Master’s and a Ph.D. program.
The mission of the institute is to train students in a wide-range of disciplines, including energy and materials, science education and e-learning, membrane science and technology, biomedical engineering, technology policy and law, color, imaging and illumination and the applied science of photo light source. Our institute has currently 12 full-time faculty members in addition to 11 faculty members on contract-basis. The research interests of the faculty cover a wide range of disciplines including nanomaterials, biomedical materials, energy and environmental technology, semiconductor materials and measurements, biomechanics, energy policy, applied chemistry and physics, science education and e-learning.
