Based on the innovative “University Love and Teaching Excellence” program, Asia University won its fourth “Teaching Excellence” award of 83 million New Taiwan dollars from the Ministry of Education with in 2009. Asia University has gathered 254 million New Taiwan dollars from the “Teaching Excellence” awards in last 4 years, which rivals other well established universities.
3 Campus art won “National Construction Excellence” award.
All those buildings on Asia University campus continue their Greco-Roman theme. With cherry blossom in spring, lily in summer, Orchid in fall, and rose in winter, the entire campus was designed to be garden campus. In May of 2009, Asia University won its National Construction Excellence with a praise of “Asia University was established during the height of college education expansion era in Taiwan. It was the vision of the founder, that the campus was designed with botanic ecology in mind and will include an art museum designed by renowned architect Tadao Ando which could be a future landmark of Taichung area.
