The Graduate Institute of Learning and Instruction aims to contribute the body of work on learning theories and innovational instruction. In Taiwan, the related research has been conducted sporadically and has not been investigated via systematical and consistent methods in integrity. The Institute founded in 2002 devotes to fill in the gap and develops long-term research. The unique which toured the Institute is its interdisciplinary perspectives in educational research. It has had a long-time relationship with the Graduate Institute of Network Learning Technology at the College of Electric Engineering and the Graduate Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at the College of Science at National Central University.
