A bachelor’s degree program in optometry provides not only basic health sciences courses but also professional optics, spectacle dispensing, refraction skills and eye testing (including sight and binocular functions). Professional knowledge is reinforced with internship in ophthalmology and optometry centers as mandatory while extra field learning experiences are encouraged as volunteers for Special Olympics Opening Eye Clinic, AMIGO vision service trips, VOSH free eye clinics and more.
