The Department aims to develop business managers with innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship as well as people with interests and foundation in the study of academic operational management. In addition to instructing the latest professional knowledge in operational management, the department also integrate relevant faculty with other colleges by offering related courses that will develop the morale, teamwork, ability to express, language proficiency, analytical techniques, scientific and critical thinking, and other soft strengths in induction, integration and problem solving.

The curriculum of the department contains both theoretical basis and practice. In addition to providing rigorous scientific methodology and disciplines in order to develop the professional “strength,” the curriculum is integrated with managerial arts and context of professional morale to incubate “flexibility” in creativity. Moreover, the curriculum disciplines students with clear determination, decision-making ability and responsibility to formulate “execution.” To incorporate with industrial demand, the department divides the professional fields of courses for the undergraduate operational management into three modulated curriculum, namely the marketing management and innovation model, finance and information module, and the human resource and organizational management module.
