The International Master Program for Smart City is the first master program permitted to cultivate next generation of Smart City in Taiwan. With integrating information and communication technology (ICT) and Internet of things (IoT) technologies into our course design, this program delivers the knowledge and skills to students for managing the city's assets in a modern way.
As a program of English medium instruction, five field-based courses and two seminar courses of total 19 credits are provided in the first year as the knowledge foundation. At the second year, six credits of two courses of Independent Study are granted through the participations in advisor's lab, research project, or internship at public and/or private sector for practicing their professional skills. To reach the goals, each of the five departments in this college provides one course, including Smart Construction and Engineering, Water Resources Management for Smart City, Urban Planning for Smart City, Smart Land Use, and Intelligent Transportation and Logistics. When students complete the program, the student will possess the abilities to provide a city with functions of sustainability, livability, and social equity through technological and design innovation.
