The MIS undergraduate degree has a 141-credit requirement. Of which are the common required courses (Chinese literature, English, Chinese constitution, Physical education, etc.) the discipline-required courses (Accounting, Economics, Calculus, Database management, Management information system, Systems analysis and design, Data structure, Electronic commerce and Decision support systems), and the electives (including 24 credits of discipline-related electives and 18 credits of free electives).

The master in information management degree requires 30 credits of course work which does not include the 6-credit thesis. The 18 discipline-related required courses encompass MIS research method, multivariate data analysis, electronic commerce, management information systems, data communication and networks, and decision support systems. The group of electives includes artificial intelligence and expert systems, information system project management, financial information system, strategic alliances and interorganizational systems, electronic commerce, group decision support systems, information security, and knowledge management. For those who were previously non-business majors, the prerequisite courses are systems analysis and design, database management systems, data structure, statistics, introduction to management information system, accounting, and introduction to business.

The master in healthcare information management degree requires 36 credits of course work the 6-credit thesis. The 18 discipline-related required courses encompass MIS research method, multivariate data analysis, electronic commerce, management information systems, data communication and networks, and decision support systems. The group of electives includes healthcare information system, healthcare information management special issues, healthcare quality management, medical image process, artificial intelligence and expert systems, information system project management, electronic commerce, and group decision support systems. For those who were previously non-business majors, the prerequisite courses are systems analysis and design, database management systems, data structure, statistics, introduction to management information system, accounting, and introduction to business.

The executive master of business administration degree requires 36 credits of course work which includes the 6-credit thesis. The 18 discipline-related required courses encompass MIS research method, database management and practice, management information system theory and practice, system development and practice, strategy and information management, and electronic commerce. The group of electives includes business data communication and network, healthcare information system, data mining, healthcare information management, healthcare quality management, knowledge management, decision support systems, supply chain management, multivariate data analysis, and business resource planning.

The Ph. D. degree requires 39 credits of course work and a dissertation. The courses are divided into three fields including research method, information technology, and management information systems. In addition to research method which is common required field, doctoral students should decide to major in information technology or management information systems, and minor in another fields. For research method field, the required courses are advanced statistics and business research method. For information technology field, the required courses are software engineering and advance business data communication and network. For management information systems field, the required courses are advance information resource management and information technology and decision theory. Before graduation, doctoral student must have one paper accepted by an international journal and have another paper accepted by a journal listed in TSSCI, SCI and SSCI.
