Introduction
The broad and growing field of hospitality is one of the world's largest industries. In response to this growing demand for hospitality professionals, Dayeh University offers one of the best hospitality management programs in Taiwan. Established in 2012, the department aspires to be the premier hospitality management education program in central Taiwan. Currently, the department offers degrees including Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Hospitality Management.
The department is proud of its outstanding faculty members. There are eight full-time teachers with professional technical skills. To enhance student learning experiences, the department also has five training classrooms for teaching, including Chinese culinary, western culinary, pastry, beverage, hospitality services for practicum, using professional courses for training. The on-campus lodging facility, a 50-room Student Intern Hotel offers students hands-on learning experience in lodging business.
In addition, the department cooperates with restaurants and hotels to provide internship opportunities for students in order for them to become hospitality professionals with not only academic knowledge but also practical work experience.
