The GMPLS is designed to provide a complete English oriented research thesis master degree for both native and international graduates. In first year, in-class learning courses as well as laboratory practical training are deliberated for students from all biological related fields worldwide. The global master program of life sciences involves in a diverse research interests. Perspective students are encouraged to look for particular research field ahead under professor’s research introduction webpage listed in the five departments of the College of Life Sciences. Major research advisor shall be determined from over 60 professors across the Departments of the College in the first semester, while one’s research proposal shall be forming as well. Research proposal shall then be orally presented to the research committees. In the second semester and following registered semesters, students are expected to oral present their research progress report each semester. Research thesis must be completed and submitted electronically to the National Digital Library of Thesis and Dissertations Taiwan in less than 8 academic semesters (4 years). The entire master research training in GMPLS include class teaching, practical laboratory techniques, and pursuing one’s specific research thesis. Inter-discipline research or cross field study is the merit for the English oriented GMPLS. Nevertheless, students can also fully enjoy Chinese culture, a Chinese learning and researching environments.
