The target students are those who hold a BA degree from domestic or foreign universities or who are about to graduate (or those with equal studying ability) and are interested in translation or interpretation between Chinese and English or between Chinese and Japanese.

Features:
(1) The integration of language, knowledge, techniques, and cross-cultural communication, and the cultivation of the professional ability to translate and interpret between Chinese and English or between Chinese and Japanese.
(2) The cultivation of research ability in translation and the promotion of both the depth and the width of translation professionalism.
(3) The cultivation of full-fledged professionals with the cross-cultural vision and interdisciplinary learning ability.
(4) Course features: The courses are constructed on theory and tested by practice. The ideas of scholars from other schools, the experience of alumni, and the resources of the business world are introduced to the program. Students are encouraged to live in a foreign country to stimulate their life experience. All of the core translation and interpretation courses are conducted in dual languages.
(5) Interdisciplinary learning: The Business Law Program is offered based on legal documents in financial activities to cultivate professionals in the fields of international medicine, translation, and insurance.
(6) Internship: Internships in translation companies in Japan, Taiwan, or Shanghai or as international medical interpreters in JCT hospitals will be arranged for students.
(7) Dual enrollment system: double MA degrees with the RMIT University of Australia
