The main educational goal of this department is to train qualified scientists and engineers in key industries. Our main education and research programs include opto-mechatronics, electrical engineering, nanotechnology, informatics, web application, scientific computing, applied mechanics, naval architecture and ocean engineering. Tight relationships with other departments in the university, research institutes, government agencies, and foreign research groups have been established so as to promote advanced, multi-disciplined engineering and scientific research. There are 24 full-time faculty members, 181 undergraduate students, 186 master students, and 43 Ph.D. students in our department.
