Located in Hsinchu, the silicon valley of Taiwan, NCTU enjoy the unique academic and industry collaboration with numerous companies in the science park (ex. tsmc, UMC, Media Tek. Acer). NCTU has bred over 60% CEOs in Hsinchu Science Park, and serves to be the cradle for future engineers and professional managers. The lab facilities in the park are quite accessible for professors, students may be able to reach it if they get internship opportunities. Another interesting point is the establishment of the College of Hakka Studies in Ju-Bei City, Hsinchu County. The site is home to the traditional Hakka architecture such as the Ancestral Shrine of the Lin Family and a third-grade historical site, Wunlitang; students will be able to experience the multicultural studies as they are selected to come to NCTU. Recently, NCTU has begun to promote interdisciplinary studies, including biomedicine, technology law, MBA, GMBA courses and various facets of culture. Thus, a variety of knowledgeable programs have been established for international students to experience Taiwan.
