In response to the urgency of talent cultivation in the industrial transformation, the Hsinchu Teachers College, National Tsing Hua University promotes the “Tsing Hua STEAM School” project, and collaborate with local government and its belonging K-12 school to establish its foundation by interdisciplinary education. Helping K-12 students to gain inter-disciplinary learning and maker's experience in solving and understanding everyday life problems, and develop their computational thinking and programming skills to gradually improve students' science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics literacy. The core spirit of Tsing Hua STEAM School is "STEAM education is life oriented and can be implemented in the regular curriculum of the school. All students have equal opportunities to obtain high-quality STEAM education to achieve the aims of inter-disciplinary talent cultivation and local employment." At the same time, cognitive neuroscience is emphasized as a bridge between the mind and the body by clarifying how the information from mind to the behavioral actor. The cognitive neuroscience research techniques are increasingly compatible with educational backgrounds. In the current project, we adopt a research paradigm which using EEG/ERP, GSR biofeedback or eye tracking devices that might help to reveal how STEAM education shapes and modifies our brain circuits or unconscious behavior.
