Rhizosphere Microbiome Metagenomics Study for Biological Control -Dependence of plants on rhizosphere microorganisms help the uptake of nutrients and inhibit pathogen growth effectively for the establishment of benign relationships between plants and rhizosphere microorganisms. Rhizosphere microbes are valuable not only for their development as biocontrol agents including biofertilizers and biocides but also for the maintenance of soil health and agricultural sustainability to diminish the use of chemical fertilizers. Microbiome metagenomics unveil the microbial communities in rhizosphere via non-culture methods for the detailed understanding of signaling mechanisms between plants and microbes and their effects on plant growth and development. The study will facilitate the expansion of biocontrol agent applications in the future.
