1. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: The Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics offers students an excellent learning and research environment with its outstanding faculty/staff and facilities. The design of undergraduate and graduate curricula is aimed at building students’ solid knowledge in aerospace science and technology, while both theory and hands-on experiences are emphasized. The teaching objective is to train students with sharp observation, independent thinking and ability to discover and solve engineering problems.

2. TEACHING AND RESEARCH: Coordinated programs of coursework and research are available in a broad spectrum of subjects. For graduate programs, a selection of specialized courses closely related to the major area and an extensive involvement with experimental or theoretical research work are required for a qualified thesis.

3. FUTURE PERSPECTIVES: The graduates from the DAA are expected to develop further study or to start a career in(1) Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics (2) Energy, Combustion, Heat Transfer and Jet Propulsion (3) Structures and Materials (4) Guidance and Control (5) Space Systems Engineering (6 ) Aviation Technology.
