Currently, the Department of Electrical Engineering at STUT has 39 full time faculty members in 3 research groups: Control and IC design, Power and Information and Biomedical Electronics. The current student enrollment is 975; among them, 20 are pursuing Ph.Ds and 112 are working towards Master’s degree.

The EE Dept. was accredited by The Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association in 2009 and was rated Class One (the highest rating attainable). Our department was also accredited by The Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET) in 2013, the Taiwanese counterpart of ABET. IEET is also a Signatory of the Washington Accord.
We emphasize hands-on experiences and collaborations with the industry in addition to learning in the classroom. This program is shaped and guided by constant reflection on the research contents and their meaning in terms innovation value, contribution to industry and impact on humanity.
