National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS) is located on 365, Ming Te Road, Peitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. Founded in 1954, NTUNHS was first known as “Taiwan Provincial Junior College of Nursing.” In August 1994, it was upgraded as fully-fledged college and became the first independent nursing college in Taiwan. Upon the demand for nursing taskforce, NTUNHS has pioneered the nursing and healthcare education in Taiwan. As of the 2009 academic year, NTUNHS has a total of three schools, five departments and twelve graduate institutes, which offer 5 undergraduate programs, 13 master programs and 1 doctoral program. In July 2010 NTCN was renamed to National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS).

The Department of Health Care Management, established in 1994 aims to promote practice and research in the field of health care management, and to provide students with training pertaining to the management of health care and health enterprise. Starting from 1999, the MSc. program majoring in health care management was launched in this department, and a 4-year undergraduate program was initialized in 2008. Students who graduate from this department are expected to serve as middle-level health care administrators.

The College of Nursing is one of the biggest as well as most sophisticated college in NTUNHS. By having educated countless nursing specialists, the College of Nursing have accumulated abundant teaching experiences and distinguished research accomplishment. Equipped with high-tech medical care instruments, well-trained faculty members combine theory and practicum in order to apply what we have learned in a specific case. The aim of the College of Nursing is to mold students into professionals who possess the following characteristics: learning by doing; disseminating knowledge in specialty areas; integrating their wisdom, minds and services together; and applying both science and liberal arts into their life and daily practice.

NTUNHS has two campuses coversing a total of 8.1 hectares. The sub-campus is located on Neijiang street within Taipei City, while the main campus is located on Minde Road in the Beitou District, located near the Taipei Veterans General Hospital and Cheng-Hsin General Hospital and; therefore, is well connected with various medical education systems. The campus perfectly interconnects with surrounding business districts in a fully functional community that constitutes a diverse living and learning environment.

To meet the students' needs, NTUNHS has made efforts to create a campus which is friendly, kind, safe, as well as adaptive to its students. For these needs, we have built a Fitness Center, an Aquatic Therapy Research and Development Center, a Tea House, and a Grief Healing Garden. In addition we have designed a themed Garden that signifies birth, aging, and sickness as well as an emergency alert system that enhances campus safety. Our campus provides our students with a high-quality and safe environment that is well suited to cultivate and optimistic professionals.
