Office of International Affairs

Lastest release date: Jul 19, 2017

We are a Catholic University under direct supervision of the Holy See. We have made it our mission to be devoted to the pursuit to truth and exchange of Chinese and western cultures. Over the years, the university strives to provide students an international learning environment. Fu-Jen Catholic University was granted permission to be restored in Taiwan in 1960. To further the vision and ideal of the founding fathers, the Academic Exchange Office was established in February, 1988 to as a contact window between different departments in Fu-Jen and academic institutions abroad. Later on, the Office began to take charge of intramural coordination and applying for grants from the National Science Council. To integrate university resources and create a more international campus environment, the Office was renamed the Center for International Academic Exchange (CIAE) in 2005.

In February, 2008, Office of International Education was established officially, and the Academic Exchange Center and the Language Center (acceded to the Office in August in the same year) were set up under the Office. Our missions include facilitating academic cooperation between Fu-Jen and foreign institutions, undertaking academic projects, recruiting more foreign students to join our programs (promoting Fu-Jen among foreign students), providing assistance and consultation for teachers and students. The goal of the Center is to create an international campus environment and enlarge the scope of inter-institutional exchanges, so as to enhance the competitiveness and international status of Fu-Jen Catholic University.
