As Taiwan sound the alarm on the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in January this year, each higher education institution (HEI) acted quickly to develop contingency plans and disease prevention strategies in order to protect its students, staff and faculty. Many HEIs now feature a dedicated section about COVID-19 on their official websites, explaining prevention measures implemented on campus and also serving as platforms for communicating the latest guidelines announced by the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Ministry of Education. HEIs also maintain regular contact with their members through emails and newsletters, proactively keeping track of their travel, occupation, contact and cluster (TOCC) histories, and continue to support government agencies monitoring and managing the risks associated with COVID-19.
The Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) has compiled a list of these HEI websites for your reference. We hope you will find the necessary information to stay safe and healthy.
