Mauricio Sandigo Peralta
My name is Mauricio Sandigo Peralta. I am astudent of the first year in the Medical department at China Medical University. The decision of coming to Taiwan is been an amazing experience sofar. It has made me grow as a person and prepared me to confront challenges that are unique when you study abroad.
There are times when you feel like giving up: classes in Chinese, social communication problems with your classmates, problems in University that make you see and ending of this adventure. But atthe same time there are also those moments when everything is worth it: your grades start to raise, your Chinese ability improves, and you start feeling like one more Taiwanese, and not like a foreigner anymore.
Living in Taiwan made me realize of how much potential is in me. It makes me want to target to be the best of the best inall what I decide to do. Competition is what I was looking for, and I found ithere. I also get to interact with people from all nationalities. I have started a lifetime friendship with many people. Some of them have left, and some othersstill remain here. We are like a family, supporting each other in all we can.
All in all the experience of studying in Taiwan has been unique to me, teaching me everyday from every person that surrounds me.
