From year 2009, FICHET (Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan) started to conduct the “Learning environment of international students in University evaluation project”. This is a project which corresponds to the policies of Ministry of Education, concerning the condition of the English taught programs in the universities. Aim for the Top University and Elite Research Center Development Plan, also known as the "fifty billion dollar in five year project", is a project funded by Ministry of education. 50 billion NTD will be fund in 5 years, in order to support the key universities and make them the leading education and research center in the world.
